The Rainbow Cup

Beach Rugby Wales are very pleased to announce, that at the XVI tournament there will be a new championship to compete for.

The 17th June will see teams from all over the UK, battle it out, six-a-side, besides the seaside, in sunny Swansea Bay, for the inaugural Rainbow Cup.

The Rainbow Cup will be an inclusive competition for all LGBTQ+ teams.

The Beach Rugby Wales Rainbow Cup’s mission is to help break down barriers that exist for people who ordinarily might not get involved in rugby for whatever that reason might be, whether that be sexual orientation, race, gender, age or experience. We want to provide a safe, inclusive and active space in the sport of rugby.

All participating teams will compete in the overall competition, with the hope to lift the Championship Cup and Plate. The Rainbow Cup will run alongside main competition with the inaugural final taking place prior to the Champions Cup.

We welcome entries from teams from all over to battle it out, six-a-side, besides the seaside, in sunny Swansea Bay, to compete for one of the trophies below:

Men’s Championship Cup

Ladies Championship Cup

Rainbow Championship Cup (Inclusive LGBTQ+ Rugby)
